The Planeta Winery is a family run vinyard with 5 locations in different parts of Sicily. The wine resort La Foresteria Planeta in Menfi lies at a strategic point of Sicily, between archaeological sites and nature reserves, and provides the perfect beginning for a journey to discover the island.

For the La Foresetria Retreat, we will visit the Planeta winery in Ulmo near Menfi for a Nature walk to La Segreta path and guided winetasting of 4 special old vintages wines selected from the Repertorio Planeta, as well as an aperitif and a freshly cooked Sicilian lunch paired with 2 Planeta wines and 3 Planeta olive oils.
The wine is just really fantastic. At this retreat you will not only have the chance to try all the different wines, paired with incredible food, but also see how the Planeta create their wine, visit one of their vinyards near the resort and try some very special bottles.
In the realm of this retreat, the creation of wine is a form of art with a long tradition and something experienced with our senses. It compliments the idea of this retreat: a pampering the senses.
WHAT IS THE BEST FOOD IN SICILY?
Next to the fabulous wine and olive oils, the food served at these retreats is mostly, if not all, home-grown by Planeta. It is the freshest, most delicious, and naturally flavourful organic food, cooked in the traditional Sicilian way.
THE YOGA
Throughout the days, we will go through a variety of breath-movement excersises, classes and a full workshop, where you learn to listen to your senses and what your very wise body tells you. They are designed to build up on each other, that at the end of the retreat, you will have learned many key elements that are a total game changer when it comes to movement, finding ease and relaxation and the great magic tool called breath.
At the end of this retreat, you will also receive a certificate of having completed my “breath-body-connection” retreat course.

PRICES FROM 2,872€ P.P.: from 3.249€ single room and 5,742€ for a double room, retreat package price for two people.
note on the pricing: La Foresteria is a eco-luxury resort working in a fair and sustainable way with the local community. All the produce they use for their food is grown by themselves close the premises, so 0km. It is seasonal, of highest quality, even the grain they use to make their own bread and pasta. This is not a regular yoga retreat, but a high end, sustanable experience.
This is a full experience package, incl. the wine tasting, all meals and snacks, lunches and dinners paired with Planeta wine, afternoon activity tours incl. transfers, 2 daily yoga sessions/workshops, daily morning meditation, and a demo cooking class.
